TMW (The Mana World)

The Mana World (TMW) is a serious effort to create an innovative free and open source MMORPG. TMW uses 2D graphics and aims to create a large and diverse interactive world. It is licensed under the GPL, making sure this game can't ever run away from you.

The project includes the development of both a client and a server, as well as the development of an online world. At the moment we're making alpha releases of the client, while our server is in early development. The eAthena free software Ragnarok Online server is used until our own server has matured enough to replace it. Once ready, we'll be making releases of our server too so anybody will be free to set up their own server and start building their own online world

The Maemo port has dependancies on these libs which can be installed as root in xterm by using these commands:

apt-get install libguichan-0.8.1-1
apt-get install libguichan-sdl-0.8.1-1
apt-get install libphysfs-1.0-0
apt-get install libsdl-ttf2.0-0
apt-get install libsdl-net1.2

You can then install the deb package tmw-0.0.28.1-1_ARMEL.deb

This package does not install the music files and does not support sound. when (if) I get the sound working properly I will make a second package with whatever patches I need and the sound files.

The deb is about 5MB in size and requires about 15MB free in the file-system to handle the install. The data files are installed to /media/mmc1/ and the bin to /usr/share/games/. the binary is about 10MB in size.
